Dear O and C, My apologies for not writing in quite some time.  I miss you both dearly.  So much has happened since the last time I wrote.  It’s December 21 st , 2023.  I haven’t seen you guys since June 1 st , 2023; that’s over six months.  You skipped the last few therapy sessions leading up to the July 2023 court date.  Then, the judge ruled, the therapy sessions were optional, and if you didn’t feel like going, you didn’t have to.  I knew in my heart that I would never see you again for another therapy session.  So, I made the very difficult decision to forgo therapy, court, and fighting for a chance to see you.  Instead, I wrote you a letter explaining how I would always be there for you, and when you were ready to re-engage in therapy, I would be waiting.  Again, in my heart, I knew deep down that it would be a very long time, if ever, until I heard from you again.   So much has happened since the last time we saw eac...

Dear O and C, I’ve got two words for you; Parental Alienation!  Let me say it again; Parental Alienation.  There is no other way to put it.  I’m sorry the two of you have fallen victim to it.  I’m sorry that I have fallen victim to it.  It is what it is, and it’s extremely unfortunate we have to deal with it.   Last weekend, I was supposed to see you boys for the first time in almost three months.  Let me refresh your memory a bit.  Judge R.R. ordered that reunification therapy go from every week, to every other week, because of the “so called strain it was causing the two of you.”  Fine, so be it.  I had no problem with the order.  As a matter of fact, I was happy about it.  Frankly, seeing you every week wasn't working. You two were not happy with the visits.  The visits felt forced, and there was not much reunification happening.  Not to mention, between therapy, and all of my attorney fees, I was happy ab...

Dear O and C, Your mother is not a very nice person.  I have not spoken to her in almost three years, except through attorneys or through a third party.  Then, today, on my birthday, she sends me your dentist bill and tells me I have to pay half.  Paying half is not the issue.  I’ve always paid half of all of your bills. The issue is that she made the very conscious choice to do this on my birthday, a day she knows well.  She is manipulative, vindictive, and evil.  Mind you, over the years, I have reached out to her on several occasions, asking to pass messages on to you, or asking if I could speak with you.  Of course, she never responded to any of my messages.  However, she did contact me through her lawyers and threatened to sue me for harassment.  So, should I threaten to sue her for harassment because she sent me this email?  Of course, I would never do that.  I wouldn’t waste either of our time or money. I still find it hila...

Dear O and C, Good luck on your first day of school!  I have no idea where you are attending school this year, but if it’s in my school district, then today is your first day.  I miss the days when I would take your first day of school pictures in front of our house.  Those days are long gone.  I wish I could give you the biggest hug, tell you “I love you,” and wish you the best of luck!  That’s not possible either.  So, instead, I’ll write you what I believe to be good advice on your first day of school.  Approach everything with a positive mindset, and a good attitude.  Not everything will go your way, so be sure to have a little bit of flexibility and leniency.  That way, you are sure to not be too disappointed when something doesn’t go your way.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help.  Most teachers and school employees want you to have the best experience possible, and will be willing to help you out in just about any situation....

Dear O and C, Well, summer is almost over.  I hope you enjoyed it.  I wish I knew what schools you were attending this year.  O, I can’t believe you’re in middle school.  Funny, the original plan was for you to attend my middle school.  Honestly, it would have been the best fit for you.  Most of your friends will be attending my school.  It has the best athletics, music, and drama programs in the district.  I really hope you are not being home schooled by your mother.  That would be the worst thing that could ever happen to you.  You need socialization with peers and the support of a brick-and-mortar school staff, if you want to achieve your maximum potential.  Years ago, I dreamt of teaching and coaching you.  It would have been so much fun.  You would have been so loved and adored at my school, and everyone I know would have gone above and beyond to look out for you.  You could have played all the sports.  Mi...

Dear O and C, How’s your summer going?  It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you last.  A lot has happened since our last visit.  I’ve been too emotionally exhausted to write about any of it.  However, I miss you both and because I wish I could talk to you, these letters will have to do.  Court went well for me.  As you probably know, your mother was asking for complete termination of therapy and any type of contact between us.  I, on the other hand, was simply asking for therapy to resume.  The judge attempted to split the difference and awarded therapy to continue.  However, instead of seeing you once a week, I will now see you every other week.  I think it was a good compromise.  You hate me, and don’t want to see me at all.  I love you, and I want to maintain some type of connection, in hopes that one day we can begin to rebuild our relationship.  So, this plan seems reasonable. The way I am viewing it is simple...

7/10/23-Letters To O and C: Part II

Dear O and C, I was going to take a break from writing these letters, but it turns out, I can’t. These letters are too important, and I hope that someday, they will shed some light on some very dark situations.  As I have mentioned in past entries, this really is my only way of communicating with you, for the most part.  We still have our therapy sessions, but your mother has canceled the last two visits. As a result, I haven’t seen you in three weeks. It feels more like a lifetime.   So much is happening in my life, and I’m sure in yours as well, that we don’t get to share with one another.  Your brother, CS, is getting so big.  He is rolling over now, and no doubt, will be crawling soon.  He is making all kinds of cute noises, and is always smiling.  He is one happy baby.  You guys would love him.  I hope someday you get to meet him.  We also had a party in S.C., for your Aunt L’s mother.  It was her 70 th birthday.  ...
