Dear O and C,

Today is your cousin’s J’s birthday.  I hope you know that your cousins miss you so much!  They don’t understand what happened and why they can’t see you anymore.  It doesn’t even make sense to me, so, imagine how it must seem to them.  You guys were best friends.  You did everything together!  To have that friendship stripped from you is a crime in itself.  You guys always had so much fun together.  Whether we were camping, boating, biking, or just hanging out in the backyard, you guys were inseparable.  I have so many pictures of the four of you together that I will share with you someday.  I really hope you can reconnect with your cousins in the future.  You guys all deserve that.  J is 12 today.  He is so tall.  He made the All-Star team for baseball; I figured you would be proud of him for that.  M is just as cute and bubbly as ever.  She loves to draw, watch YouTube, and hang out with her friends.  Her room is all pink, and she is definitely a little princess.  M loves playing house, and with her dolls as well.  C, you would have so much fun playing with M.  J loves his video games too, and I’m sure you guys would love doing that together.  Happy Birthday J!  I am super proud to be your uncle!

Introduction

I am a father who has been alienated from his two children, O and C. The alienation began in September 2020. Hearing the judge grant full custody to my ex wife was the worst moment of my life.  I was in complete shock and disbelief.  I had an out of body experience, and thought I must be dreaming.  I could not comprehend the decision that had just been made. The pain and heartache that followed from that point on was unbearable.  I wanted to die on numerous occasions.  I followed the court order to the T, and yet, no progress could be made because my ex wife and her attorney sabotaged every effort I made.  It was a losing battle the moment the judge made her decision, and I knew it.  I tried to keep hope alive, but my hopes kept getting destroyed every time a new declaration was filed with the court, every time a new series of false accusations were made, every time the judge made a new ruling in my ex-wife's favor.  I could not catch a break...

Dear O and C,      I am forty-three years old today.  I wish I was able to spend my birthday with the two of you.  I miss you so much!  The victory I had in court, and the prospect of getting to see you guys soon is the greatest birthday gift I could ever receive.   I can’t wait to begin reunification therapy with you; in person! Dear O and C, I miss you so much.  Lately, it’s been tearing my heart apart when I think about how much I miss both of you.  I watch videos from when you were little.  We didn’t have a perfect home, but we had a darn good one.  It’s obvious to see how much you and I loved and cared for each other.  You felt safe around me.  I was so happy to be your father.  There is also a video where O, you are lying on the floor with your blanket, asking your mother for something.  She is, of course, filming you, and telling you not to throw a temper tantrum.  It is very clear that you are not throwing a temper tantrum, and are only asking for something.  Your mother goes on to threaten you and says, “if you don’t stop throwing a temper tantrum, I’m going to film you, and send it to all of your friends so they won’t want to play with you anymore. When they see this, they won't want to be your friends anymore.”  This is so cruel.  Yet, this...
