Dear O and C,

How are you?  I’m a little bummed by the fact that I don’t get to see you this week.  Unfortunately, our therapist has Covid.  I reached out to your personal counselor, and asked if I could have some form of contact with you, in lieu of our visit.  I suggested a phone call, an email, or text message.  It’s highly unlikely that your mother would approve such contact, but I figure I’d give it a shot.  I know consistency is very important when attempting to rebuild and heal our relationship; so, I wanted to give us every opportunity possible, to have some form of contact.  Someday, I hope you will read these letters, so you know exactly how I really felt.  Until then, the only thing you know is whatever your mother tells you; and I doubt there are any positive words said about me.

My baby boy is due this week.  That means, the next time I see you, you will most likely have a new baby brother.  I am very excited to welcome my third son into this world.  I hope very much that someday, you get to meet him.  I hope you get the opportunity to love him, be a big brother to him, and help to guide him on his journey through life.  I also hope that my baby boy will be as sweet, loving, handsome, kind, and intelligent as the both of you.  I love you guys very much and I hope to talk soon.

Love,

Dad
